On September 17th, during the Mid-Autumn Festival, Jinan International Communication Center collaborated with the Confucius Institute of Brittany in Rennes, France, to host a Mid-Autumn Festival-themed cultural exchange event. Themed "Celebrating Mid-Autumn in Jinan Gardens," the event aimed to promote friendship and cultural understanding between Chinese and French students through cultural exchange.
On the day of the event, Chinese and French students from the Confucius Institute gathered to participate in a variety of celebratory activities. They enjoyed a picnic, shared food, and engaged in lively discussions about culture, creating a warm and festive atmosphere. Mooncakes, a traditional food of the Mid-Autumn Festival, were a highlight of the event. Students sampled different types of mooncakes, gaining a deeper appreciation for the cultural significance of reunion and harmony that the Mid-Autumn Festival embodies.
As night fell, the Chinese and French students admired the beauty of the moon together, experiencing the warmth and joy of the Mid-Autumn Festival. During the moon gazing, they shared stories and customs related to the festival, deepening their cultural understanding and emotional connection.
This event was not only a cultural exchange in practice but also provided a platform for Chinese and French youth to learn from and engage with one another. The students enjoyed an unforgettable Mid-Autumn Festival and forged valuable friendships.
